LGBTQIA

I am a proud ally and advocate and am passionate about serving the LBGTQIA+ community.  I have experience working with adolescents and adults who are exploring their gender and/or sexual identity as well as those who have come out and are navigating their identities in the world. As someone who believes in equity for all, I feel it is my responsibility to stay informed on current affairs and social issues that impact the LGBTQ community, including individual concerns clients have as they navigate their lives within the larger community. It is of the utmost importance that I promote safety for all my clients so that you can come and explore all parts of yourself without any judgement or agenda other than to support you along your journey and to honor your unique experience.

Please see my resources page for additional organizations supporting the LGBTQ+ community the Denver area.

EMDR &

Trauma

Therapy

Trauma can be big or small and we may not even identify our experiences as traumatic. However, trauma can happen at any time in ones life and the impacts change your ability to see and interact with the world in a healthy and productive way. I am passionate about providing a safe and judgement-free space to help you process any trauma you have experienced so that you can take back control.

Whether your trauma occurred in childhood, adulthood or periodically over certain stages of your life, I am here to help. Please know that everyone’s experience with trauma is different and so is the healing process.

The foundation for healing trauma begins with safe, trusting, and supportive relationships. Sometimes this begins with the therapeutic relationship and other times it is having these relationships that make therapy possible. No matter where you start, try and be patient with yourself as you embark on this journey.

I am an EMDRIA approved EMDR trained therapist.

Anxiety &

Panic

How are you experiencing anxiety? Is it showing up emotionally or physically? Do you find it difficult to quiet your mind? Are you focusing on the past or anticipating something in the future? Is your anxiety connected to social interactions or are you experiencing fear or dread?

What about high-functioning anxiety? This can manifest through perfectionism, control and over-achievment. Anxiety is not always debilitating, but that doesn’t mean you have to live with it and just accept it.

When we don’t address anxiety it can consume our thoughts and feelings and may even begin to impact our ability to function or maintain healthy relationships and boundaries.

Let’s talk through your thoughts and feelings and see how you are currently managing anxiety. Let’s explore healthier ways of coping. Anxiety is manageable and you don’t have to suffer in silence.

“The privilege of a lifetime is to become who you truly are.”
